We did not anticipate this level of excitement and interest around our recreation workshop. We currently have 4 classes of 20+ participants per class in under a week. One class was fully booked in under 2 hours.

The Large Urban Parks Committee of World Urban Parks in partnership with Marmak and ORFA has developed and is prototyping a new Park Audit database for information about parks from around the world. This tool will enable members to research other parks from around the world, get in contact with fellow recreation practitioners, and compare best practices. Our goal is to connect parks internationally on a level that have never been achieved before.

It is the opinion of many recreation facility professionals that the focus of recreation facility managers moving into the future will revolve completely around Asset Management

Though we will focus on facility data, the principle holds true for all other asset categories. We are all familiar with the fairy tale of the three little pigs. The staff at the Township South Glengarry had been searching for a solution to help them better manage their recreation assets. South Glengarry owns a number of parks, recreation facilities, museums, trails, and other municipal buildings.
